Local Business Interviews

live! (2).png

It took this major isolation to realize how much of my business is based around meetings, events and being with my people! In an effort to create connection and help both my clients and local businesses, I decided to go Live on Instagram with a few interviews.

My goal was to pick businesses that could offer home-related tips to my clients in the form of small actionable activities. I began with my favorite house cleaner, professional organizer and gardener, and plan to share additional interviews from a financial planner, an interior designer, a home renovation specialist and a local etiquette expert!

I also have a plan to launch a video series giving shout outs to local bars and restaurants, recreating my favorite recipes to support restaurants that are closed, and highlighting those that are offering takeout.

I would say my biggest takeaway was to switch from Instagram to a recorded Zoom meeting. Instagram was prone to some technological issues, and it was very hard to save the videos. Beyond that, I highly encourage reaching out to your local friends, even if it's just as a blog post!

Here is a link to my "Safe at Home" hub on my site, where you can find recaps of all of the videos and all of the other resources I have created during this time!

I took to iMovie to create this little "funny" reminding my clients to take care of their routine maintenance while at home!

Mailer of the Month

This month, I created a Raleigh Bingo game to mail to my list. If they completed it (from their car), I'd enter them to win $10 of takeout!

I shared this "scavenger hunt" with people to help them get to know their home better and find important safety elements while stuck inside.

Podcast of the month

My podcast suggestion of the month helped me calm my fears and prepare to discuss the coming months with clients and friends. NAR Economist Lawrence Yun chats with Brian Buffini on what to expect, how this differs from 2008 and other ways to help grow your business during this unusual time.

Must-know Raleigh fact:
